So if you know me, you probably know that I’ve been watching a lot of South Park lately.
Why? Because the show is absolutely hilarious. I’m the type of person who likes to watch two things on TV — 1) sports 2) things that make me laugh.
South Park is hysterical. Therefore, I’m going to take some time to draft up the “Top 10 South Park Characters.”
10) Stan Marsh
The show wouldn’t be what it is without Stan. Everything always, somehow, seems to revolve around Stan. And whether it’s intentional or not, everything revolving around Stan is almost always laughable.
9) Timmy
He doesn’t even need to say anything, yet you still know exactly what he’s saying/doing based off of his physical expressions… “TIMMY!”
8) Gerald Broflovski
Gerald, aka “Kyle’s Dad,” rocks the yarmulke and looks like the absolute man whilst doing it. He’s a lawyer who happens to be featured on the show at the most random times. For example, he starts the ‘hybrid car’ movement in South Park, sues South Park Elementary School on behalf of children in his son’s class, etc.
7) Mr. Garrison
Depending on the season, you may also know this character as “Mrs. Garrison.” He underwent a sex change to become a ‘she.’ … And then he underwent another sex change to become a ‘he’ again. He’s indecisive, ends up maxing the majority of his conversations sexual and he’s somehow a teacher at an elementary school? Great combination.
6) Chef
“Oh, hello there children!” <– Classic line of Chef’s. He always attempts to help the children (meaning Stan + Kyle + Kenny + Eric) when they’re in some sort of ‘trouble,’ but always finds a way to end up singing inappropriate songs to them. The confused look on the boys’ faces makes it very entertaining to watch.
5) Kyle Broflovski
He’s the “voice of reason” out of his group of friends. I feel like this show needs a character like Kyle. He sometimes seems to take things too seriously, but without him, who knows what kind of additional chaotic events would take place in South Park, Colorado?! Also — his ‘rivalry’ with Cartman is great.
4) Mr. Mackey
The school counselor is one of the top 10 characters on the show??? YUP… Mmmmmmkay!
3) Eric Cartman
Picking out the top 3 became a little bit tricky, as they’re all amazing. Cartman is featured as a main character is almost all of the episodes. He’s also a superhero. Sorry for giving it away, but yes, Cartman is ‘secretly’ a superhero known as “The Coon,” who doesn’t really do much to actually help anyone or anything. But at least he thinks he’s helping. There’s so much more we could discuss about Cartman, but I think it’s best that we leave a lot of the additional details out of this blog post.
Oh, but I should mention his best, and most famous, line is – “Screw you guys, I’m going home!” And I think that’s awesome.
2) Butters Stotch
He’s unintentionally hilarious. He’s not trying to be funny, at all. In fact, he’s always trying to avoid being grounded by his super-strict father, yet the words that come out of his mouth combined with his facial expressions easily make him one of the top characters on the show.
1) Randy Marsh
Yes. Yes. So much yes. If you don’t agree with my choice for the best character on South Park, ‘screw you guys, I’m going home!” He’s the best… by far. He’s a geologist. That’s kind of irrelevant, though. I kind of want to know what goes through his head a lot of the time, but I also think it’s best that we don’t.
He’s unique.
He’s also Lorde (#SpoilerAlert).
Here’s more proof, courtesy of the internet, on why he’s the best. I’m sure you already get the point, though.

And I guess, lastly, before I ‘sign off’ on this post, let’s leave a tribute to the other character that everyone knows and loves, but also doesn’t really care enough about to consider him in a list like this:
